As an avid lover of fashion, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, is one of the highlights of my entertainment pieces every year. Although it has not aired yet, I have read many reviews, watched a few previews and seen a great deal of pictures. It looks like this year it did not fall short of what it usually embodies: fun, flirtyness, gorgeous pieces, and a whole lot of sexy!
The show took place on November 13th 2013, in New York, but it will air to the public on December 10th 2013, on CBS. The musical guests this year were Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Great Big World, and Neon Jungle. The absence of Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were noted, however Lais Ribeiro, one of my favourite models, returned to the runway.
Over the years supermodels like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen and Claudia Schiffer have modeled this eminent runway, and this year we get to see the debut of new angels Sigrid Agren, Josephine Skriver and Ming Xi. This year the angel line up consisted of the Brazilian supermodels Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio, the African beauties Behati Prinsloo, and Candice Swanepoel, the blonde bombshells Doutzen Kroes, and Lindsay Ellingson, and two of my personal fashion muses Izabel Goulart and Lily Aldridge, among many other distinguished models.
Traditionally a new version of the million dollar bra is shown every year. This year the "Royal Fantasy Bra" was designed, and the cost exceeds last year's, this one-of-a-kind piece is worth $10 million dollars. The designer, Mouawad, used over 4, 200 rubies, blue and yellow sapphires, diamonds, 18-karat gold, and a centered pear-shapped 52-karat ruby.
Como una ávida amante a la moda, el show de Victoria's Secret, es uno de los destacados eventos de entretenimiento para mi todos los años. Aunque todavía no ha sido transmitido, he leído muchas criticas, visto pocos anticipos y una gran cantidad de fotos. British Invasion / Invasion Britanica
The first segment is called British Invasion and it is an homage to all that is British. Candice Swanepoel opened the show wearing the "Royal Fantasy Bra" and walking down the runway to the beat of one of Fall Out Boy's new songs. As an added surprise Taylor Swift modeled an outfit inspired by the Great Britain flag just like one of the angels, and delighted the public with a douet with the band. This segment features beauties like Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima and Cara Delevigne.
El primer segmento es llamado Invasión Británica y es un homenaje a todo lo que es Ingles. Candice Swanepoel abrió el show vestida en el "Brasier de Fantasía Real" y camino la pasarela al ritmo de una de las nuevas canciones del grupo Fall Out Boy. Como una sorpresa añadida Taylor Swift modelo un atuendo inspirado por la bandera de Gran Bretaña como uno de los ángeles, y deleito al publico con un dueto con la banda. Birds of Paradise / Aves del Paraíso
The second segment features Fall Out Boy with another one of their new singles, this time sans Taylor Swift. This portion was more exotic and sultry, with less costumy lingerie and a lot of feathers. Supermodels like Lindsay Ellingson, Lais Ribeiro, and Erin Heatherton modeled this portion of the runway.
El segundo segmento presento otra vez a Fall Out Boy con otra de sus nuevas canciones, esta ves sin Taylor Swift. Esta porción fue mas exótica y sensual, con menos linceria en forma de disfraz y mas plumas. Supermodelos como Lindsay Ellingson, Lais Ribeiro, y Erin Heatherton modelaron esta parte de la pasarela.
Shipwrecked / Naufragio
The third segment this year featured Great Big World, the American indie band, and their very popular single "Say Something". Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, and Behati Prinsloo among other beautiful girls, walked down in pieces that exuded romanticism. The styling was based on pastel and earthy coloured lingerie with accessories that went along perfectly with the theme of this section.
El tercer segmento este año presento a Great Big World, la banda de música indie Americana, y su popular cancion "Say Something". Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, y Behati Prinsloo entre otras hermosas mujeres, modelaron piezas que rebosan romanticismo. El estilo de la linceria fue basado en colores tierras y pasteles y accesorios que estuvieron totalmente de acuerdo con el tema de esta sección.
PINK Network / PINK Red
The PINK runway features all the young models with extremely loud, fun, and cute little pieces that represent this youthful portion of the Victoria's Secret brand. This year the up-and-coming British/Scottish band Neon Jungle accompanied the girls as they walked down the runway with their single "Trouble". The looks tied in well with the theme of this section, with all the hashtags, abbreviations, and smileys that each outfit incorporated. PINK models like Sara Sampaio, and Elsa Hosk walked this segment.
La pasarela de PINK presento a las modelos mas jovenes con trajes divertidos, tiernos y muy llamativos que representan esta juvenil porción de la marca de Victoria's Secret. Este año la prometedora banda Británica y Escocesa Neon Jungle acompaño a las modelos mientras caminaban la pasarela con su canción "Trouble". Los atuendos incorporaron numerales, abreviaciones y emoticonos, y estuvieron de acuerdo con el tema de la sección en el que modelos como Sara Sampaio y Elsa Hosk fueron notables.
Parisian Nights / Noches Parisinas
The second last part of the show was inspired by the city of Paris. Adriana Lima opened this segment with an all-red look featuring huge feathered wings that formed a heart as she lifted her arms. The girls walked down to the very catchy and sexy "FU" by Miley Cyrus, which happens to be one of my favourite new songs. The styling for this portion was mostly black with pops of neon colours, and in my opinion featured the sexiest lingerie pieces of the whole night. Most of the brand's traditional angels walked this section like, Joan Smalls, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Izabel Goulart.
La penúltima parte del show fue inspirada por la ciudad de Paris. Adriana Lima abrió este segmento con un look hecho completamente en rojo, que estuvo acompañado de grandes alas en plumas, y que al subir sus brazos formaron un gigante corazón. Las niñas caminaron al son de la muy pegajosa y sexy canción de Miley Cyrus "FU", que en este momento es una de mis nuevas canciones favoritas. El estilo para esta porción fue generalmente en negro pero con repentinas apariciones de colores neón, y en mi opinión mostró la linceria mas sexy de toda la noche. Muchos de los ángeles tradicionales de la marca caminaron esta sección como son, Joan Smalls, Alessandra Ambrosio, y Izabel Goulart.

Snow Angels / Angeles de la Nieve
The closing segment of the night was lead by Taylor Swift and her single "I Knew You Were Troble". The angels were dressed in all-white, winter wonderland inspired looks. The styling soft, sweet and still very sexy. White feathers, white lace, white faux-fur and a lot of sparkle are all characteristic of this last part of the show, where very familiar faces made an appearance.
El ultimo segmento de la noche fue liderado por Taylor Swift y su cancion "I Knew You Were Trouble". Los ángeles fueron vestidos de blanco, en looks inspirados por un paisaje invernal. Los diseños fueron suaves, dulces pero todavía muy sexy. Plumas, encajes y pieles sintéticas, todo en blanco, y mucho brillo, fueron característicos de esta parte del show, donde muchas caras familiares aparecieron.
Personally, and like every year, I cannot wait to watch the show. I hope this makes all of you boys and girls excited!
